| 1 1/4 | cups | butter | or margarine, soft |
| 2 | cups | sugar | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 2 | teaspoons | vanilla extract | |
| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 3/4 | cup | cocoa powder | |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | cups | peanut butter chips |
Cream butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanila; beat well.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in peanut butter chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 9 minutes.
Do not overbake.
Cookies will be soft; they will puff during baking and flatten upon cooling.
Cool until set, about 1 minute.
Remove from cookie sheet; cool completely on wire rack.

Do not add 2 tsp of salt....maybe was a typo. I put in 1 tsp and it was more than adequate
