| 3/4 | cup | brown sugar | firmly packed |
| 1/2 | cup | sugar | |
| 1/2 | cup | butter | softened |
| 1/2 | cup | vegetable shortening | butter flavored |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | vanilla extract | |
| 1 | egg | ||
| 1 3/4 | cups | flour, all-purpose | pillsbury best |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 4 | ounces | chocolate (semi-sweet) | semi-sweet, |
| 4 | ounces | white chocolate | |
| 1 | cup | walnuts | or pecans, , optional |
Heat oven to 375*F.
1. In large bowl, combine sugars, butter and shortening; beat until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and egg; blend well.
2. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolates and nuts.
Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 9 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.

General:Mustard Seed comes from two large shrubs, Brassica juncea (brown mustard) and Brassica hirta (white mustard), native to Asia. Both plants produce bright yellow flowers that contain small round seeds; brown mustard is more pungent than white....
Love it! For an occasional change try adding 1/2 package of taco seasoning to the chile sauce.
