| 2 | each | egg yolks | |
| 1 | cup | sugar | |
| 2 | tablespoons | butter | |
| 2 | cups | apples | peeled, sliced |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1 | each | pie shell (9 inch) |
Combine egg yolks and sugar.
Add butter, apples and vanilla; stir to mix.
Place over boiling water in double boiler, stirring constantly until thickened.
Pour into pie crust.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 minutes.
