Ingredients

2 cups flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cups vegetable shortening
1/2 cup water ice cold

Directions

Mix flour and salt. Cut in shortening thoroughly with pastry blender. Add ice water and blend until dough cleans bowl and is no longer sticky.

Divide into 2 balls. Roll out on floured board, sprinkle a little flour on top of dough to make rolling easier. Roll from center outward.

This amount makes enough for a double crust to fit a 9 inch pan.

Reviews

Fantastic and easy to do. Rolled out like a dream! Also very good if you use margarine instead of shortening.

Kona Banana Bread

I have used this recipe for years and my family and friends love it. I was so upset to have miss placed the cookbook with the recipe in it. I have all these overripe bananas and am so glad to have been able to get my hands on another copy.
