Chocolate cookie

My aunt used to make a cookie that was a very fragil cookie that was a chocolate cookie. It had pecans in it and I am thinking it had egg whites. It was a drop cookie. When you bit into it, there was a slight chewyness about it. Does anyone have this recipe?

The name "Forgotten Cookies" comes from leaving these cookies to bake in the oven overnight after it's been turned off.
INGREDIENTS:

2 egg whites, at room temperature
2/3 cup sugar
pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup chocolate chips
PREPARATION:

Preheat oven to 350degrees. Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until they hold stiff peaks. Add salt and vanilla. Stir well. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Cover cookie sheet with foil and grease with butter or margarine. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the foil. Put in oven then turn the oven off. Leave overnight in oven with door closed.

FRENCH FILLED MERINGUE COOKIES

1 2/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
3/4 c. butter
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. almond flavoring
pure pineapple jam
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. sliced almonds

Sift together flour and powdered sugar. Blend in
butter. Add egg yolks and flavoring. Blend well. Press
mixture into bottom of 10-inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15
minutes. Spread a layer of pineapple jam over baked crust.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add granulated sugar
and beat well. Lightly spread over pineapple layer; sprinkle
nuts over. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut into oblong
bite-size pieces while hot.

CHOCOLATE CHIP MERINGUE COOKIES

3/4 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda

Mix together ingredients, then top with 1 cup brown
sugar and 2 egg whites; beat egg whites until fluffy and dry,
then mix in brown sugar. Put dough on cookie sheet, one with
sides. Add 1 large bag Toll House bits and 1/2 cup walnuts or
pecans. Put meringue over all. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

MERINGUE COOKIES

2 egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Beat eggs with cream of tartar,
salt and vanilla until fairly stiff. Add sugar and beat until
stiff. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans by hand. Drop by
teaspoonful onto foil. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 3
dozen.
