I recently saw a recipe using bow tie pasta and canned diced tomatoes with sweet onions and have lost it and would like to try the recipe if someone can find it. It was probably in a recent magazine ad for the canned tomatoes. I tried a canned tomatoes company website, but it was not there. If anyone sees it and can pass it along I would appreciate it.
try this
1 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped
10 sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 roasted red pepper, diced
2 teaspoons dried basil
8 ounces dry bow pasta
4 grilled skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese
DIRECTIONS:
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper and basil. Marinate 4 hours.
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain. Toss pasta with marinade until evenly coated. Spread into a baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Divide onto plates, top with grilled chicken, and sprinkle with goat cheese.
u can omit the chicken or goats cheese if u want

3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
6 Plum Tomatoes, chopped
2 quarts Plum tomatoes, canned with juice
1 cup Fresh Basil, chopped
Or, 1 teaspoon dried Basil
1 teaspoon Fresh Oregano, chopped
Or, 2 pinches dried Oregano
2 Bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Chili Peppers
1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
In a saucepot cook onions and garlic in the 1st olive oil. Do not brown garlic. Add fresh tomatoes and cook them down. Add canned tomatoes and everything else except 2nd Olive Oil and the Parmesan Cheese. These 2 ingredients are added after the sauce has simmered at least 90 minutes.
