My mother used to make a pound cake that used no milk. It called for 1 box of powdered sugar, eggs, flour, one pound of butter but she can't remember the full recipe nor can I. Can anyone help me with this? It was a delicious cake and I would really love to have the recipe again.
NO MILK POUND CAKE
1 c. butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. warm water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon or almond flavoring
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, (1 at a time); sift dry ingredients; add flavorings to water; alternate water and dry ingredients, as added to creamed mixture; pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan, bake at 375 degrees for 60 to 65 minutes.
