This recipe was made with vanilla wafers and if I am not mistaken it was cooked for 30 or 40. It was on the back of Jackson Vanilla wafers in the 70's I would love to be able to make this for my grandkids. This is the best fruit cake recipe there is. You can also wrap this cake in gause and pour rum or burbon over it and keep it moist for weeks before it is eaten. Believe me I don't normaly like fruit cakes but this one is worth it. I hope somebody out there has this recipe and will share it with me. Jackson Cookie company was in North Little Rock, Arkansas, but has been sold so many times that there is no record with the parent company about this recipe.
Thanks and have a Merry Christmas
