Ingredients

1 3/4 cups flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
1/2 cup butter or shortening, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 each egg
1 cup water hot
1/4 cup corn syrup, light
2 cups cereal post blueberry morning

Directions

Note: For more blueberry flavor, add 1 cup fresh blueberries or 1 can (15 oz.) blueberries, drained, with the cereal.

HEAT oven to 350°F.

MIX flour, soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg in medium bowl.

Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg. Gradually beat in water and corn syrup.

Add flour mixture, beating until smooth. Stir in cereal.

Pour into greased and floured 9-inch square pan.

BAKE 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Serve warm.

Makes 12 servings.
