| 1/2 | cup | raspberry spread | seedless |
| 1 | cup | apple juice | |
| 2 | teaspoons | lemon zest | grated |
| 2 | tablespoons | lemon juice | |
| 3 | each | pears | peeled and cut into fourths |
Mix all ingredients except pears in 10-inch skillet. Add pears.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat to medium-low.
Simmer uncovered 30 minutes, spooning juice mixture over pears and turning every 10 minutes, until pears are tender.
Serve warm or chilled.

I had received a starter, for the Amish Friendship Bread, from a friend many years ago. It wasn't but a few months when I used up and gave away all my starter. Another friend of mine tried to replicate the starter, with no availe, and not knowing what the recipe was. I was so excited when I came across this recipe!!! The Amish Friendship Bread is wonderful! I gave a loaf of the bread along with a starter as small gifts to different friends and they all enjoyed it very much! Mickey
