Ingredients

1 cup butter room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar replacement
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups flour, all-purpose
3/4 cup maraschino cherries divided
3/4 cup candy coated chocolate pieces M&M's or Smarties
1 cup powdered sugar
5 teaspoons maraschino cherries juice or water

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Lightly coat 15-by-10-by-inch pan with vegetable oil spray.

In large bowl, combine butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Blend in egg and extract.

Stir in flour, then add ½ cup of the cherries.

Spread into prepared pan, using wet fingers. Sprinkle with remaining cherries and M & Ms.

Bake in preheated oven 30 to 35 minutes or until light brown.

Combine powdered sugar and cherry juice or water and mix until smooth.

Drizzle over bars.

Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Very soft, very chewy. Easy to make. Good flavor. It is heavy on the cinnamon. Might want to knock it back a 1/2 teaspoon if not real big on cinnamon.
