| 1 | package | minute rice | |
| 2 1/2 | cups | salad dressing, italian | |
| 1 1/2 | cups | basil | crushed |
| 3 | cups | green peas | slightly cooked |
| 1 | cup | scallions, spring or green onions | sliced |
| 1 | cup | olives | ripe, sliced |
| 1/2 | cup | pimento | strips |
Cook rice according to package directions.
Transfer rice and reaining liquid to shallow pan.
Let stand until all liquid is absorbed.
Combine salad dressing and basil. Stir into cooked rice.
Cover and chill. Fold in peas, onion, olives and pimentos before serving.
