| 4 | each | egg yolks | |
| 2 1/4 | cups | brown sugar | packed |
| 1 | tablespoon | water | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking powder | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | cup | gum drops | |
| 3/4 | cup | walnuts | |
| 4 | each | egg whites |
Beat egg yolks with beater.
Stir in brown sugar, water and vanilla.
In another bowl, sift together flour baking powder and salt.
Mix with egg-sugar mixture.
Stir in gum drops and walnuts.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Fold into dough.
Spread in prepared pan.
Bake 30-35 minutes.

i fixed it we liked it very much. goes very well with fried potatoes. i like it because it is a quick meal
