45 minStuffing down the center, chicken breast arranged on both sides, and a cream of mushroom sauce poured over everything. This one-dish weeknight dinner has been feeding families for decades because it’s genuinely low-effort and everything comes out ready at the same time.
The smart move here is adding the vegetables directly into the stuffing mix with the seasoning packet, so they cook through without a separate step. The stuffing absorbs the cream sauce from underneath and stays moist rather than drying out on top.
Cover with foil first so the chicken steams tender, then uncover for the last 10 minutes to let the top color up slightly.
