Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon molasses
1/2 cup vegetable shortening melted
1 each egg
1/2 cup sour milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in milk
2 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup raisins, seedless chopped

Directions

Mix all ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes in 375 degree oven.

Teriyaki Marinade and BBQ Sauce

Pretty good sauce. I substituted half of the water with white wine. I preferred a little bit sweeter, though. I marinated chicken thighs with this sauce and broiled them. A keeper.
