10 minFour ingredients. Ten minutes. One dressing that makes every salad better.
Plain yogurt, low-fat Italian dressing, freshly grated Parmesan, and a clove of garlic get beaten together until smooth. That’s it. The yogurt gives it body, the Italian dressing adds herbs and tang, and the Parmesan brings that salty, nutty punch that pulls it all together.
Chill it for a bit before serving so the garlic mellows and the flavors blend. Pour it over greens, use it as a veggie dip, or drizzle it on grilled chicken.
Kitchen Tips
- Mince or press the garlic clove before beating it in so you don’t bite into a raw chunk in your salad.
- Let it chill for at least 30 minutes. Raw garlic softens as it sits and the dressing gets more cohesive.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor. The pre-grated kind is dusty and won’t dissolve into the dressing the same way.
