25 minHalloween just got a whole lot stickier, and the kids are going to love every gooey second of it.
These caramel apple witches start with classic dipped apples coated in melted caramel, then get spooky faces made from halved mini marshmallows and candy corn noses.
A little construction paper hat perched on the stick finishes the look.
They come together in about 25 minutes, making them a great after-school project or last-minute party treat.
Pro Tips
- Wash and thoroughly dry the apples before dipping. Any moisture on the skin will cause the caramel to slide right off.
- Melt the caramels low and slow, stirring constantly. Rushed heat makes the caramel seize up and turn grainy.
- Press the marshmallow halves and candy corn into the warm caramel right after dipping, before it sets. Once it cools, nothing sticks.
