| 2 1/4 | cups | minute rice | brown |
| 1 3/4 | cups | water | boiling |
| 30 | ounces | black beans | canned, cooked |
| 2 | tablespoons | margarine | |
| 1 | large | onion | chopped |
| 3 | each | garlic cloves | chopped |
| 1 | medium | green bell pepper | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | cumin | ground |
| 1 1/2 | cups | salsa |
Cook rice as per instructions on the box and set aside.
In a large frying pan, sauté onion, garlic and green pepper in margarine.
Add rice, beans, cumin and salsa and simmer about 20 minutes.

This is the best recipe. The only thing we could add is to drizzle with confectionery sugar icing.
