| 1/2 | cup | butter | or other shortening |
| 1 | cup | sugar | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | baking powder | |
| 3 | each | bananas | mashed |
| 1/2 | cup | nutmeats | or raisins |
Mix well and turn in well greased loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven 350 F for 45 minutes. Remove from oven, let stand in pan a few minutes, then remove to cool.
