| 1 | pound | beets | boiled |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | ounces | horseradish | fresh |
| 1/2 | cup | water | |
| 2 | tablespoons | vinegar | |
| 1 | dash | black pepper | |
| 1 | teaspoon | sugar |
Grate beets and horseradish.
Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and water.
Bring to a boil. Pour over grated beets and horseradish.
Mix thoroughly.
Store in jar in refrigerator.

I love this recipr since my hubby has got family inherent high cholesterol and thus heart disease. He cannot enjoy the usual angel cakes with eggyolk and large amiunt oil. This recipe lets him enjoy cake again..Thks so much for sharing!
