Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
12 ounces evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup yogurt, low-fat plain
2 ounces chocolate (semi-sweet)

Directions

In medium saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch.

Stir in milk.

Cook and stir over moderate heat until thickened and bubbly.

Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm.

Add vanilla and yogurt. Refrigerate until mixture is cold.

Melt chocolate.

While chocolate is hot, pour it very slowly into chilled yogurt mixture while stirring gently.

Freeze in ice-cream maker according to manufacturer's directions; or follow refrigerator-freezer instructions previously posted.

Fennel And Watercress Soup

I didn't have watercress but made it anyway. Loved it! In lieu of watercress I added a small amount of cheddar and fresh dill, which worked! I consider it a great base, and look forward to other variations. Maybe I'll even do the watercress someday.
