| 1/4 | cup | sugar | granulated |
| 1 | cup | liqueur | coffee flavor, such as kahlua |
| 2 | cups | milk, 2% | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1 | quart | vanilla ice cream | softened |
| 1 | x | heavy whipping cream |
Combine water, coffee granules and sugar, stirring until coffee dissolves.
Chill.
Add coffee liqueur, milk, vanilla and ice cream.
Stir until blended.
Ladle beverage into cups.
Top with whipped cream, if desired.
