Add a little zing to the old Green Bean Casserole recipe with a spicy version made for 21st Century taste buds. This is not your grandmas Green Bean Casserole.

Ingredients

16 ounces alfredo sauce with roasted Red Pepper by Classico
14.5 ounces tomatoes, canned Fire Roasted diced with garlic by Hunts
29 ounces green beans, canned Kitchen Style Sliced by Green Giant, drained
1 1/3 cup french fried onions
1 teaspoon cajun seasoning Original Creole Seasoning by Tony Chachere

Directions

1. MIX sauce, beans, tomatoes, seasoning, and 2/3 cup onions in a casserole dish.

2. BAKE at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until hot.

3. STIR and top with remaining 2/3 cup onions. Bake for 5 more minutes until onions are golden.

Wow, with every ingredient from a can or jar this recipe must overload on the salt big time. Even the canned green beans will have salt added.

Its the holidays!! lighten up... this sounds like one awesome recipe. I will be trying this recipe this year. You could use no salt products to lessen the salt!!!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

This is the best dish ever! I added a few (about 10 slices) of jalepeno peppers to the chicken/butter/cajun seasoning mixture to give it a little kick, I ate the whole batch myself over a weekend, can't wait to make it for sharing :)
