| 1 | each | herring | boned, skinned, cut into 1 inch diagonal pieces |
| 1/3 | cup | red wine vinegar | |
| 1/2 | cup | olive oil | |
| 2 | teaspoons | sugar | |
| 2 | teaspoons | dill weed | dried, chopped |
Mix everything except the fish together.
Place fish in deep dish and pour the mixture over it.
Refrigerate for 4-6 hours.

I used mixed veggies instead of just peas and used capers in lieu of some salt. The rice & chix were finished before all the broth was absorbed. I'll try less broth next time. Great flavors!
