| 1/2 | cup | vegetable shortening | |
| 1/2 | cup | margarine | |
| 2 | cups | powdered sugar | |
| 4 | each | egg yolks | |
| 1 | cup | coffee | cold |
| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 2 | teaspoons | baking powder | |
| 1 | pinch | salt | |
| 1 | cup | jimmies | |
| 4 | each | egg whites | beaten |
| Frosting | |||
| 1/4 | pound | butter | |
| 1/4 | pound | margarine | |
| 3/4 | cup | sugar | granulated |
| 1/2 | cup | powdered sugar | |
Cream shortening and margarine.
Add powdered sugar and mix. Add egg yolks and coffee.
Mix in flour, salt and baking powder. Add jimmies.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake in springform pan at 350F for 1 hour.
Frosting: Cream butter, margarine, granulated sugar and powdered sugar well.
Add 4 Tbsp. flour, 1 T. at a time. Add 1/2 cup room temperature milk.
Beat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. (May need to warm milk 20 - 25 seconds in the microwave).

This recipe would have been 5 stars without the sliced sun-dried tomatoes. The tomatoes dominated the flavor of the sauce so much that it didn't allow the mushrooms to shine through. My wife liked it, but I noticed she was picking out the tomatoes too.
