Cheese Salami Croissants

Ingredients

4 each croissant
1 1/2 tablespoons butter softened
2 ounces genoa salami thinly sliced
4 ounces gruyere cheese thinly sliced
1 x salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F degrees.

Slice each croissant open, starting from the front and leaving the back unbroken.

Divide the salami and arrange over the bottom of each croissant.

Cover with the cheese and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Place in the oven for 10 minutes or until the croissants are hot through and the cheese has melted.

Cut in half and serve hot.

Serves 4.

Serve it as a starter, or a light lunch dish with a green salad and red Italian wine.
