Blueberry Lemon Loaf
Submitted by coangela
A lemon-scented yeast bread studded with blueberries, made entirely in your bread machine. Five minutes of hands-on work gets you a soft, fragrant loaf with pops of fruit in every slice.

This loaf is lightly sweet, fragrant with lemon zest, and dotted with blueberries that burst into little pockets of fruit as the bread bakes.
You literally dump everything in, press start, and walk away. That’s it. Five minutes of effort for a homemade bread that smells incredible and slices up beautifully.
It’s outstanding toasted with butter for breakfast or served alongside a bowl of soup when you want something a little more interesting than plain white bread.
Kitchen Tips
- Add the blueberries at the mix-in beep if your bread machine has one. Adding them too early can turn the whole loaf purple (still edible, just not as pretty).
- Dried blueberries or currants work as a substitute if you don’t have fresh. They hold their shape better in the machine’s kneading cycle.
- Let the loaf cool completely before slicing for clean cuts. Warm bread tears instead of slicing, especially with fruit inside.
