| 1 | pound | beef | chuck, lean, ground |
| 1 | each | onion | chopped |
| 1 | each | kidney beans | 12 oz can |
| 1 | each | soup, tomato | can, undiluted |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | tablespoon | chili powder | or to taste |
| 1 | x | red hot pepper sauce (eg. Tabasco) | to taste |
Brown the meat in a little butter and cook until the meat is brown - about 10 minutes. Add all other ingredients and let simmer for 30 minutes. Your choice of hot sauce may be added to taste.
Very easy, even for a beginner. I did add a half can of beer, twice as much chili powder and a coupld small garlic cloves.

This is a great recipe! We use soy crumbles instead of beef. Delicious!
