Navajo & Pueblo Indian Fry Bread
I have made lots of yeast based naan bread, and finally gave these fry bread a go. It was like a quick version of naan bread, but still had great flavour and texture. I guess when I am in a hurry, this recipe will be my option.

I lived in Albuquerque for 17 years and love Fry Bread with my Chili. Isleta Pueblo, which dates back to the 1400's, is 13 miles south of ABQ. A friend was married to an Isleta princess and she taught me about Fry Bread. Thanks for this version.
Please check the conversion rates from US to Metric measurements. As four cups of flour is not 946 grams, but is much closer to 500 grams. I ruined an entire batch of dough this week, due to that error.
Otherwise, when I re-did it, the batch came out wonderfully. With great flavor.
It’s doesn’t say 946 fool. It says 946mL. 1gram is not equal to 1mL , hardly ever. Some things maybe but no. Don’t blame someone else for your screw up. You’re the one that assumed 946mL was equal to 946grams.
