Cookies & Cream Cake
Submitted by nowash
A cookies and cream layer cake made with white cake mix and crushed Oreos folded right into the batter. Easy enough for beginners, impressive enough for birthdays.

1 hrsTake a white cake mix, crush up a bunch of Oreos, stir them into the batter, and bake. That’s basically the whole game plan, and the results are seriously fun.
The white cake stays light and fluffy while the crushed cookie pieces create pockets of chocolate crunch throughout every layer.
Egg whites only (no yolks) keep the cake bright white so those dark cookie bits really pop.
Frost with your favorite vanilla or cream cheese frosting and top with more crushed cookies for a cake that looks like it took way more effort than it actually did.
Pro Tips
- Crush the Oreos into uneven pieces so you get both chunky bits and fine crumbs for varied texture
- Fold the crushed cookies in gently by hand after mixing the batter so they stay in distinct pieces
- A cookies and cream frosting takes this over the top: fold crushed Oreos into whipped vanilla buttercream
