Impossible Cheeseburger Pie

An easy beefy one dish meal with Bisquick, ground beef, tomatoes and cheese.

¾ cup biscuit baking mix (bisquick)

or american cheese, shredded

177 ml biscuit baking mix (bisquick)

237 ml cheddar cheese
or american cheese, shredded

Directions

Heat oven to 400℉ (200℃).

Grease pie pan plate. Brown meat and onion. Drain.

Salt and pepper meat mixture.

Spread in pie plate.

Beat milk, baking mix, and eggs until smooth.

Pour into pie plate over meat mixture.

Bake 25 minutes. Top with tomatoes, sprinkle with cheese.

Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean. [5-8 minutes]

I first got a "version" of this recipe from my mother-in-law about 20+yrs ago. No tomatoes, & a mix of colby&sharp cheddar cheeses. I mix cooked burger, onions, & shredded cheese all together, put in pie plate, then pour my liquid on top. It's absolutely fantastic! The kids loved it then & now they make it for their families.

I have been making this simple dish for at least 40 years. It is a great tasting one dish meal!
