Directions

Preheat oven to 350℉ (180℃), positioning the rack in the center position of the oven.

Grease three cookie sheets with vegetable oil.

Either by hand or in an electric mixer on low speed, cream butter, sugars, water, egg, and vanilla.

Add the flour, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, cloves, chocolate chips, cloves, nuts, and oats.

Use a tablespoon to form mounds set 1 inch apart on cookie sheets.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, turning the rack once back to front during the baking.

Remove the cookie sheet immediately to cool on a rack.
