Carol

These are just AWESOME and I can't believe the calories and fat. It was hard to resist eating all the dough while I was making them. GREAT recipe.

anonymous

way too sweet

Nancy

I make different cookies all the time, because all my kids love cookies, in my opinion this recipe is much healthier, the sugar is just the right amount, should be not way too sweet. If you really don't like too sweet, you can reduce sugar.

someone

yummy! these are so good. they were easy to make and are delish! :)

anonymous

i just used this recipe and they turned out very good, but when i tried to rolled them into balls to put on the baking sheet and they were verryyy sticky
and after they cooled they were hard at the edges; but thats my own fault use vanilla pudding

heidi

i loooove chocolate chip cookies but decided to try and find a recipe with less fat and sugar....so i tried yours! used all brown sugar and used just over 1/2 cup packed.....they turned out awesome! i love them and so does my family!!

ashlee

I made these last night! i LOVE the taste and I love that they are low fat! The batter was soo yummy I wanted to eat the whole bowl lol! I added oats to my second batch and it turned out just as good! Thanks!

Emillie

I just made these.
They were awesome.
Advise: maybe use cooking spray on the bottom of the pan as mine stuck.

But I love these .
It's my new recipe

Stephanie

I am totally amazed at these cookies! I healthy-fied them a little further even by using only 2T splenda brown sugar, 1/4 cup normal spledna to a 1/4 cup normal sugar, and half whole wheat flour! Sooo yummy- don't taste healthy!

S

I made these today and replaced sugar with splenda and they came out great. I don't feel guilty eating them, knowing how little the fat and calories are. I will defiantly make them again. Thanks for the recipe!

Michelle

Very good! I did 2/3 cup white flour and 1/3 cup whole wheat. My 7 year old loves them!

Anya

I made these since I am watching calorie intake. I used applesauce in place of butter and used half whole wheat flower and half regular flower. First batch I left in little too long. Second came out better. Not too shabby for low-cal.

Bernie B

Hi :-)

Is vanilla extract the same as vanilla essence?

anonymous   United Kingdom

Yes

zhangbo

Yes, they are the same!

anonymous

I don't see where this is low-fat, I only see low calorie because of the portions. But this recipe is almost identical to the one on the back of the Nestle's package. So it's leaving me confused.

ellen

delicous

Lauran

Just made these but substituted the chocolate chips with white chocolate and raspberries. The recipe was easy to follow and the cookies turned out like the chewy ones I was hoping for, great :) The only difference is that I have 12 not 24 XD oh well.

ash

um... how many servings?

Zhangbo

Make about 24 cookies!

anonymous

How many 'normal-sized' cookies do they make? (2.5 inches)

leo

Made these cookies.
They were great. I even put less fat in them and they turned out great. The whole family loved them.

Allysa

I used whole wheat flour in mine to add some fiber. Tastes way too sweet for me but the boyfriend is a big sugar hound. Really good, I will try halving the sugar next time though.

Emily United States

Hate to be the one to say this.. but these are not 52 calories per cookie. They are about 89 calories per cookie,do the math. It's a 37 calorie difference...be careful & do your own math... you may think you can eat two for 104 cals..but its 178!

anonymous

i have 2 say that the picture on the net makes the cookies look worse than they taste

Athena

When i made it, the batter needed some water and i also added some extra almonds. But other than that it was perfect!!And delicious!!

Laura

Just made these, dough was delicious. substituted chunky applesauce for margarine and they came out more like hot cookie dough. but still delicious. So im just eating them off of the baking tray haha

JJ

This is just the toll house recipe halved minus the egg yolks.

anonymous

1 each egg mean 1 egg white?

happyzhangbo

1 each egg means 1 large egg, and 1 each egg white means 1 large egg white.

anonymous

AMAZING! BETTER THEN ANY OTHER COOKIE BRAND, INCLUDING REGULAR.

Kelly

These are great!
I used wheat flour.
I also used one whole egg.
Then I replaced the second egg with flax seed (1tbs flaxseed + 3tbs water =1 egg).
Enjoy everyone!

anonymous United States

I dont know wat it tastes ike but every one is sayin it tastes great so ill give it a shot!!!

anonymous United States

omgi tried them and they are delicious but the baking sheet HAS to be greased so it wont stick.

anonymous

D-licious!

jini

why did you write twice baking soda

happyzhangbo

I just checked the recipe, the baking soda appears only once, it is an accurate recipe!

anonymous

I LOVE SWEETS! But dislike the fat and calories along with it, who does?
This recipe was perfect YUMMY..

Carol

I have also made this recipe before and they are DELICIOUS. I'm always looking for HEALTHIER alternatives to snacks for the entire family. I also would like to enjoy the odd treat even though I'm watching my calories.

anonymous

This recipe was amazing! The whole family loves it.

Lisa

I really need to challenge the per cookie calorie count on this cookie. I was very interested in finding a lower calorie chocolate chip cookie and was very excited when I found this recipe; however, after examining the recipe more closely, I decided to figure up the calories on my own to see if the 52 calories per cookie was correct. This is what I came up with by checking the calorie count on the individual ingredients (all of which I had on hand):

1/2 cup sugar = 360 calories
1/4 cup brown sugar = 60 calories
1/4 cup margarine (I use Parkay sticks) = 360 calories
1 t vanilla = 12 calories
1 egg white = 17 calories
1 cup all-purpose flour = 400 calories
1/2 t baking soda = 0 calories
1/4 t salt = 0 calories
1/2 cup semi-sweet mini chip = 560 calories

All the calories added up equals 1769 calories for the entire batch - divide that by 24 cookies equals 73.71 calories per cookie. I wonder how the recipe submitter figured each cookie at only 52 calories???????

happyzhangbo

Hi Lisa, thanks for your detailed calculation, really impressive.

I checked the ingredient list, and found out that 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup chocolate chips were not calculated. I just changed both of the measurements from cup to weight, and now the nutrition fact is accurate.

Thank you so much for pointing it out, and hope you will enjoy our recipes. Happy Baking :-)
