Mom's Simple Chicken Parmesan

This is super quick, easy and simple chicken recipe to prepare - all in one pan to facilitate easy cleanup!

Ingredients

4 chicken breast halves, boneless, skinless

3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
8 ounces mozzarella cheese
fresh
16 ounces spaghetti sauce
salt and black pepper
to taste

Directions

Combine bread crumbs and parmesan cheese together on a large plate and mix well.

Heat oil and butter in large oven safe skillet on stove top over medium-high heat until butter is melted and oil begins to shimmer. Season each chicken breast on both sides with salt and pepper.

Dredge chicken in bread crumb and cheese mixture and lay carefully away from your body into the hot skillet.

Cook chicken on one side until golden brown (about 4 to 5 minutes). Carefully turn chicken and continue cooking.

Slice mozzarella into ½ inch thick slices, place on top of cooked chicken and spoon spaghetti sauce over top.

Place pan in pre-heated 350℉ (180℃) oven for 10 minutes or until cheese begins to melt and sauce is bubbly. Carefully remove from oven, serve alone or with a side of pasta and grated parmesan cheese.
