Joyce's Curry White Sauce

 

This is a great way to liven up a basic white sauce. Works great over veggies or even as a healthy topping for mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter
1 each onions
optional
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
teaspoon black pepper

1 cup milk
¼ teaspoon curry powder
optional to taste

Directions

Melt butter over medium heat and add onion.

Cook until onion is soft.

Then add curry and flour and stir.

Then add milk, salt and pepper.

Cook mixture stirring constantly until it thickens to desired consistency.
