Ingredients

1.2 l gooseberries

237 ml brown sugar

355 ml raisins, seedless
1 each onions
peeled and sliced
45 ml salt
1.3 ml cayenne pepper

5 ml prepared mustard
5 ml ginger
*
5 ml turmeric
0.9 l vinegar
*

Directions

Chop gooseberries, raisins, and onion.

Add other ingredients.

Heat slowly to boiling.

Simmer ¾ hour. Stir frequently. Rub through coarse sieve.

Reheat.
