Favorite Turkey Broccoli Casserole


Turkey Broccoli Casserole recipe















567 g broccoli florets
1.2 l turkey
or chicken, cooked, coarsely diced
90 ml butter
90 ml all-purpose flour
10 ml salt
1.3 ml black pepper
710 ml milk
118 ml mayonnaise
5 ml lemon juice
237 ml cheddar cheese
30 ml butter
118 ml bread crumbs


Layer broccoli on bottom of greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer turkey (or chicken) over broccoli.

In a saucepan, melt the 6 tablespoons butter. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper.

Gradually stir in the milk and continue until the white sauce is smooth and comes to a boil. Remove from heat.

Combine mayonnaise and lemon juice with white sauce and pour over turkey (or chicken) and broccoli. Sprinkle with cheese.

Melt 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in bread crumbs and sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350℉ (180℃) F for 35 to 40 minutes.
