Homemade Chili Lime Tortilla Chips

Will Super Bowl Sunday find you chowing down on a hot and melty pizza from your favorite delivery company?

According to an Associated Press article by Michelle Locke, every year pizza delivery chains see a 35 percent rise in their sales on the big game day. To prepare for their busiest day of the year, Papa Johns is shipping 2 million pounds of cheese and 350,000 pounds of pepperoni to its stores across America.

Delivered hot and fresh to your door, your favorite pizza comes loaded with fat and calories. According to the Papa John's website, one slice of pepperoni pizza from a 14" Original Crust contains 330 calories and 14 grams of fat!

This year skip the extra fat and calories and make delicious and healthy pizza fresh from your own kitchen. Try one of these delicious pizza recipes: Cheesy Mushroom Pizza, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Supreme Style Pizza, or Healthy Pepperoni and Veggie Pizza.

For super-quick pizza, use pre-made pizza shells, tortillas, pitas, english muffins, or bagels for the crust. Then, layer on your favorite toppings and bake.

Round out your Super Bowl spread with healthy versions of your other favorite football munchies. Try making your own hot wings from these recipes: Barbecue Chicken Tenders or Boneless Buffalo Wings. For something crunchy make up a batch of Toasted Pita Chips or Homemade Tortilla Chips and serve them with Seven Layer Taco Dip made from fat-free refried black beans and fat-free sour cream.

Cheer on your favorite Super Bowl team this Sunday while enjoying delicious and healthy snacks!
