| 1/2 | cup | butter | (no substitutes), softened |
| 1 | cup | sugar | |
| 1 | each | egg | |
| 1 | tablespoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1 1/3 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 3/4 | teaspoon | baking powder | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt |
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
Remove to a wire rack to cool.

I really liked this recipe. It was good, quick and spicy. I served it over white rice.
