| 2 1/4 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 2 1/2 | teaspoons | baking powder | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 3/4 | cup | butter | softened |
| 1 1/4 | cups | sugar | |
| 1 1/4 | cups | brown sugar | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 3 | large | eggs | |
| 12 | ounces | chocolate chips |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In small bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Set aside. In large bowl beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Gradually beat in flour mixture.
Add chips (if desired) Spread evenly into well greased 15x10x 1 baking pan (approximate size of pan) Bake 35 - 40 min.
Cool in pan on rack. When completely cool cut into pieces.
