Susan's Easy Salsa Perfecta

StarStarStarStarStar

Submitted by tobimom

A 10-minute blender salsa with tomato sauce, fresh jalapeños, scallions, and garlic. No cooking required. Bright, spicy, and ridiculously easy to throw together for taco night or last-minute snacking.

Sometimes the best salsa is the one you can make in the time it takes to open a bag of chips.

Four ingredients, one food processor, ten minutes. That’s it. Pulse the garlic, scallions, and jalapeños first to break them down, then add the tomato sauce and give it a few more pulses.

Six jalapeños bring real heat here, so if you like things milder, scale back to two or three.

The scallions add a fresh, grassy bite that you don’t get from regular onion, and the garlic ties everything together.

Pro Tips

  • Pulse, don’t blend. You want some texture, not a smooth soup.
  • This salsa gets better after an hour in the fridge as the flavors meld together.
  • Swap in canned fire-roasted tomatoes (drained) instead of tomato sauce for a smokier, chunkier version.
