Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef, lean
1 quart water
4 each onions chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes crushed
4 teaspoons cumin
1 tablespoon salt
5 each bay leaves
1 teaspoon allspice ground
1 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
6 ounces tomato paste
1 ounce chocolate unsweetened one block

Directions

Add ground beef to water in a large pot and stir until beef separates to a fine texture. Add all other ingredients. Stir to blend. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer uncovered for about 3 hours. May cover for the last hour if desired consistency has been reached.

We loved this. Very similar to the Skyline Chili in Cincinnati. I halved the crushed red pepper, because I don't like that much of it.

Thank you for including this in your datebase. When we are in Cincinnati, we LOVE to eat at Skyline. I am thrilled to find this recipe. It takes some getting used to, but once you develop a taste for this chili, the others pale in comparison!
