Ingredients

2 pounds rib eye steaks
1 1/2 pounds onions
1/2 pound mushrooms
1 x flour, all-purpose seasoned
10 ounces guinness or other stout
10 ounces stock or other water
1 pinch nutmeg
1 x salt and black pepper
1 x fat for frying

Directions

Cut meat into fairly large chunks and roll in seasoned flour.

Brown in hot fat and remove from pot.

Chop onions roughly and fry gently for 2-3 minutes.

Return meat to pot. Add all other ingredients. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
