| 2 | tablespoons | vegetable oil | |
| 4 | each | pork chops | cut 1 inch thick |
| 1 | x | black pepper | and salt |
| 1/2 | cup | onion | thinly sliced |
| 16 | ounces | sauerkraut | canned, undrained |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | caraway seeds | |
| 1 | each | apple | tart, peeled, cored, thinly sliced |
| 1/2 | cup | water |
In a heat-resistant, non-metallic skillet, heat oil on a conven-tional surface unit until hot.
Sear pork chops on both sides until browned.
Sprinkle chops lightly with salt and pepper, to taste.
Drain any excess fat.
Arrange onion and sauerkraut over pork chops.
Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven 5 minutes.
Sprinkle caraway seeds over sauerkraut and arrange apple slices on top.
Add water and heat, covered, in Microwave Oven 4 minutes.
Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven an additional 5 minutes or until pork chops are fork-tender.
Pork should always be cooked to well-done.

This recipe was great! I used chicken strips instead. I double dipped them as opposed to just once and that gave them an even cripisier coating. I made this for my younger brothers' birthday dinner and he loved them! He said, "These are so good, I can't even describe them." I'm sure that he'll be requesting them again soon.
