When you need chili but don’t want to fuss with a dozen spices and long ingredient lists, this is your recipe.

Six ingredients total. Brown the ground beef, toss everything else in the skillet, cover it, and let it simmer for 20 minutes. The beef-mushroom soup mix adds depth without requiring you to measure out cumin, paprika, oregano, and all the usual suspects.

This is weeknight chili at its most practical. No chopping vegetables, no building complex spice layers, no babysitting a pot for hours. Just straightforward, beefy comfort that feeds six people without drama.

Top it however you like: cheese, sour cream, green onions, crackers. It’s a blank canvas for your favorite chili fixings.

Directions

In large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat, drain.
