Ingredients

3/4 cup margarine softened
3/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 1/2 cups brown sugar packed
3/4 cup sugar
3 large eggs
3 tablespoons corn syrup
3 tablespoons water
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 3/4 cups flour, all-purpose unsifted
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet

Directions

Cream margarine, shortening, sugars, eggs,corn syrup, water and vanilla; beat well.

Combine flour, baking soda, salt; add to creamed mixture.

Beat well.

Stir in chips.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 min.

Allow to cool on cookie sheet for 1 min. then remove to cooling racks until completely cooled.

Sweet Potato & Red Pepper Salad

Great combination of flavors, the sweet flavor of the red bell pepper and the sweet potato complimented the goat cheese nicely. Easy main dish, I served it with a garden salad.
