| 2 | tablespoons | butter | |
| 2 | tablespoons | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 | cup | milk | |
| 1 | x | salt | to taste |
| 1 | x | black pepper | to taste |
Blend milk and flour. Add butter [melted]. Mix together. Heat on medium in microwave about one minute. Stir. Repeat till reaches desired thickness.
Variations:
Cheese - add 1/2 cup cheese and either 1/4 tsp. dry mustard or 1/4 tsp spice sauce such as teriyaki or Worcestershire, etc.
Red - add 3 tbsp ketchup.
Curry - 1/2 tsp curry powder.
Cucumber - add 1/2 cup grated or diced cucumber and pinch of cayenne.
Sea Food - add 1/2 cup cooked cocktail shrimp or chopped other sea food.
