| 2/3 | cup | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | dozen | egg yolks | |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | vanilla extract | |
| 4 | cups | milk | |
| 1 1/2 | bags | oreo® cookies | crush half of them, 20 oz. size |
| 10 | each | bananas | sliced |
| Meringue | |||
| 1 | dozen | egg whites | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1/2 | cup | sugar | |
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Combine sugar, flour, salt, yolks and milk; cook in double boiler until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
In a 2 or 3 quart dish, layer crushed Oreo cookies, bananas and custard, making several layers.
Line sides of dish with whole cookies, layer with remaining ingredients.
Meringue: Beat whites until peaks form. Add vanilla and sugar. Spread on pudding; bake until browned.
