| 1/2 | cup | margarine | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 2 | teaspoons | vanilla extract | |
| 2 | teaspoons | baking soda | |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 | teaspoon | cinnamon | ground |
| 4 | cups | apples | sliced thin |
| 1 | cup | walnuts | chopped |
Cream margarine and sugar in mixing bowl. Add beaten eggs and vanilla extract and whisk to blend well.
Combine baking soda, salt, flour and cinnamon; add to egg Add peeled and thinly sliced apples along with the chopped walnuts to batter.
Blend ONLY enough to spread apples and nuts throughout batter.
Grease and flour a 13x9x2 inch pan. Pour in the batter and bake in a preheated 325 degrees F. oven for 1 hour.
