| 3 | large | eggs | |
| 1 1/2 | cups | vegetable oil | |
| 2 | cups | sugar | |
| 3 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | teaspoons | vanilla extract | |
| 1 | cup | pecans | |
| 3 | cups | apples | cored, peeled, diced |
| Icing | |||
| 4 | ounces | margarine | (1 cube) |
| 1 | cup | brown sugar | packed |
| 1/4 | cup | milk | |
Mix all cake ingredients together and pour into 9 x 13-inch oblong pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean when inserted in center of cake.
Cook icing ingredients in small saucepan 2 1/2 minutes and pour over warm cake.

Have you ever patronized a restaurant that doesn't have salt and pepper on the table? The assumption is that the food is already properly seasoned...
Mmmmm, very good dumplings. I didn't use pork, just shrimp, still very flavorful. I made wonton soup, using carrots and Chinese napa cabbage. Great for a cold winter day. I had some leftover wontons, so I froze them for later use.
